First Post
My name is John-Luc, I'm a senior in high school and i am attending an english class titled "Topics in Literature." In this course, we choose a topic to read for the quarter, formulate 3 questiones that we keep in mind throughout the entire reading and then create a blog discussing what we have read. As a reader, I have a wide variety of strengths and weaknesses. Lacking a strong interest for the activity, I often find it difficult for myself to get passionate about what I am reading at the time. Along with this issue my attention span toward the book Iim reading is very short. There are so many times that I have found interest in a book and then not be able to finish it due to a short attention span.

Hi, John-Luc. That's good information for your readers, definitely. You seem to be into the book that you are reading now, and you did great with _The Wave_ last spring, so hopefully you can get off to a great start with your board sports topic. The only thing, I know you said you uploaded your plan today, but I still can't see it. Will you check that and try again?
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Ms. Fichera
Hi John-Luc,
ReplyDeleteI agree with Ms. Fichera. I need some details! I believe that you are discussing skateboarding. I remember when skateboards first came out (or at least when I first heard about them). It must have been in the early 70's. I got one for my birthday, took it up to the top of my street, and rode it down the hill. Needless to say, I crashed, and of course, I was not wearing protective gear (unheard of in those days), and I ripped my legs to shreds and never rode the skateboard again. I look forward to reading more of your writing this year.
